Dawn
Dawn?
In the artic there is approximately 6 months of daylight (summer) and 6 months of night (winter). In a manner of speaking we've been living in an artic winter for the past 8 years. It's been dark, and cold and difficult to see beyond whatever light we carried within ourselves. We saw a glimmer of daylight in 2006, when the Republican ice started breaking up in Congress, but it's been a very slow thaw since then.
Today we may see the dawn. We may see change and progress. How much change and progress will depend on us, all of us.
A little something to watch today as a reminder of what is at stake:
